Jason blindly complies with her, as she was the only person to show any kindness towards him as a child. While Jason is mentally ill, his mindset is completely unlike that of anyone else, and the only remotely human aspect of this unhinged man is his obsessive attachment to his mother. Even if Crystal Lake were to change its name, he would stick to the stretch of land, and kill any trespassers without so much as a pang of remorse, as his delusions believe his mother would want. Despite his crude and simple nature, he does experience intense emotions, though his behavior is more akin to a feral-minded beast defending its territory than a cognitive vengeful human, as most of his victims are those who show up without him approving. Jason is also utterly relentless with his prey, pursuing his desired quarry without ever backing down, not even allowing grievous bodily harm inflicted upon him to hinder his determination. Jason is an enigmatic and foreboding figure, seldom exhibiting any human characteristics outside of a burning desire to hunt and anger at those who invade his land.
